This Spiti Valley 7 Day tour is designed specially to let you explore the best of Spiti within a limited time frame of 7 days. The Manali route is open only from Mid of June till the starting of October month.

Spiti valley is a part of the Lahaul Spiti district. The Spiti river flows through this valley which gives it the name. The Lahaul Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh is famous for its serene beauty and landscape. The tour starts from Manali where our vehicle will pick you. With this Spiti valley tour you will be able to visit various peaceful and serene destinations like Kunzum Pass, Kaza, Kibber, Dhankar, Key monasteryLangza village, Pin Valley and the famous Chandra Tal Lake. The tour would end in Manali.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Manali

On Arrival in Manali, our vehicle will pick you from Manali Volvo stand and take you to the hotel for freshen up. Enjoy the day in Manali. You can visit the nearby places of interest i.e Hadimba Temple, Mall Road, Van Vihar.

Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 2: Manali to Kaza

Early morning, checkout from Manali and head towards Kaza. Enjoy the view on the way to Kaza as you’ll be visiting the famous Atal Tunnel, & Kunzum pass today. On arrival in Kaza, dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Kaza – Hikkim , Komic & Langza

Wake up in the beautiful town of Kaza and get ready to explore the nearby Key monastery.

Hikkim is a quite little village in Spiti which also happens to have the World’s Highest Post Office in it.

Komic is one of the highest villages in the world to be connected with a motorable road. It also hosts an old Monastery which is one of the most revered places of worship in the area.

Langza is also known as the Fossil Village of India due to the abundance of marine fossils found there.

Return for overnight stay at Kaza.

Day 4: Kaza  – Dhankar – Tabo

Today after breakfast, head for a sightseeing tour of Dhankar village. In the evening head towards Tabo for overnight stay.

The Dhankar Monastery & Fort is built on the top of a cliff. Dhang or Dang means Cliff and Kar means Fort. Thus Dhankar means a Fort on a cliff.

The Tabo Monastery is one of the most famous monasteries in Spiti Valley.  Tabo village is famous for its caves (Tabo caves) which can be seen from the village. These caves are used by the monks for meditation and other purposes.

Overnight stay in Tabo.

Day 5: Tabo – Pin Valley – Kaza
Today after breakfast head towards Pin Valley. Mud is the last village in Pin Valley connected with the road. Named after the Pin River flowing in the region, Pin Valley is one of the most beautiful valleys in Spiti. Enjoy the day exploring the valley and head towards Kaza for the evening stay.

Day 6: Kaza – Key – Chicham – Kunzum Pass – Chandratal Lake

Today after breakfast checkout from Kaza and head towards Chandratal via Key Monastery & Chicham Bridge. 

Key Monastery is one of the most iconic places in Spiti Valley. It has been a center of Budhist Studies in Lahaul & Spiti from centuries. Explore the monastery and then head towards Chicham Bridge which is one of Asia’s Highest bridges situated at an Altitude of 13,596 ft.

Further on the way lies the Kunzum Pass which divides Lahaul & Spiti regions and hosts magnificent views of snowcapped peaks. The Kunzum Mata Temple situated on the top of the pass is the main attraction here.

Chandratal Lake is one of the most famous places in Spiti Valley. The serene beauty and peaceful environment around the lake makes it a memorable experience.

After reaching Chandratal Campsite, checkin to the camps. Depending on the time left before dark, you can visit the Chandratal Lake which is around 2 Kms from the Campsite. (*Please note that no camps are allowed near Chandratal. A specific area has been allotted by the govt. for campsite 2 kms below the lake.)

Day 7: Chandra Tal to Manali.

Have breakfast at the campsite and proceed towards Manali. Enjoy the view towards Manali. On the way you can also stop at the famous Solang Valley and enjoy the day. Evening drop at Manali Volvo Stand. Thank you for choosing us.

This tour is possible from Mid June till 1st Week of October depending of the weather and snow conditions on the route.

  • We require 6 people minimum to run a trip however this does not need to be all from one group.  Please feel free to book with any number of people and we’ll try to match numbers from other groups to meet the minimum requirement.
  • In case minimum number of persons is not met, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone the trip. In that case any advance made by the guest will be refunded.
  • 50 % of the booking advance is needed 20 days before the tour starting date in order to confirm the tour.
  • 100 % of the payment needs to be made before the start of the tour.
